形態特徵

Herbs to 50 cm tall, covered with septate hairs; stems square, puberulent, erect or procumbent.
Leaves petiolate; petioles 1–2.5 cm long, puberulent; blades 2–3 cm long, 2–3 cm wide, broadly ovate, base obtuse to rounded, sometimes oblique, apex obtuse, margins coarsely serrate, both surfaces puberulent, densely so on veins beneath.
Inflorescences axillary, verticillate cymes, 2 lateral flowers often reduced; bracts 2–3 mm long, linear, puberulent. Flowers pedicellate; pedicels puberulent, 3–5 mm long; calyx tubular, 10-ribbed, 10-toothed, 9 mm long, 2.5–4 mm wide, teeth triangular, spine-tipped, 1.2–2 mm long; corolla white, tubular, 4.5 mm long, 2–3 mm wide, bilabiate, divided to ca. 1/2 length of corolla, puberulent, upper lip ovate to broadly obovate, concave, erect, densely hairy, lower lip 3-lobed, central lobe transversely elliptic, emarginate at apex, ca. 1.5 mm wide; stamens 4, didynamous, inserted on throat, anthers reddish, 2-celled, confluent; stigma unequally bifid.
Nutlets 3-angled, base cuneate, apex truncate, slightly concave, smooth, ca. 1.5 mm long, 1 mm wide.
